This is a Private Sale, NO RESERVE auction. We are selling our much loved 2001 Ford Excursion 7.3L Diesel with only 159K miles. Those that are familiar with the 7.3L Diesel know that at this mileage is very low for this motor. The vehicle runs great, looks great and it was treated with a lot of care. We own it since 2015 and it's had to let it go but we no longer have the need for it. This year the truck has received new front breaks, new front rotors, new front calipers and new front tires. Last year we have installed a new battery and the previous year the other battery was changed. Late last year we have also installed a new starter and a new gas tank pickup tube (notorious for breaking on those trucks). The transmission was completely rebuilt with heavy duty internals and extra clutches. The transmission shop built it for us to be able to tow practically anything even if we didn't need it. The Ford transmissions in those trucks have a reputation for breaking, we wanted to make sure it lasts for many more years so we spent the extra money and done it right. The back tires were installed in 2016 but have about 80% thread left. The truck has new front leather seats installed this year. Everything works including the factory CD changer, A/C is cold, engine runs great, no leaks on the driveway even when parked for a long time. No rust, what you see in the pictures is what you get. I'm starting the auction very low, however trucks with more miles and in worse condition start higher. This is a RWD vehicle, we don't need 4x4 in the south, but we also don't have to deal with rust from salty roads. We bought the vehicle from VA with a rebuildable title. It was missing the front bumper and had two cracked front lights and a very small 1 inch wide crease on the edge of the hood. We changed the hood with a new one, installed two new headlights and a new bumper. The fenders are original, the radiator is original, the airbags are original, no other damage.
